A Bunch of Sunshine

A Bunch of Sunshine, a poem written by ILIA was inspired by sunflowers in bloom.

I purchased a bunch of sunshine
I brought it to my home,
it was so devine

Every morning the sunshine beamed
I would smile from ear to ear
or so it seemed

It poured out its rays
Of the beautiful sunshine
all throughout the days

Until I found a ray on the floor
to be followed by others
Until it shone no more

I took the remains of the rays
tossed them into the ground
an action that truly pays

From the ground
new sunshine grew
now the rays abound
