A Thousand And One Singers

I hear a thousand and one singers
raising their voices as one, out my window
Chiming in to sing a song of joy
raising the volume as loud as it could go.

The music is so sweet
one cannot help but listen
with pure delight
to the newest rendition.

Once the song is done
a discussion starts with just a few
of the main singers asking
how about something new?

A fresh song is started
one that is equally angelic
alighting such joy in your heart
that time stops with nary a tic.

And, once your breath has been taken away
by the beautiful singers just outside
silence takes over, soon to be followed
with a voice that begins again to turn the tide.
