An Ode to a Cucumber Vine

An Ode to a Cucumber Vine

An Ode to a Cucumber Vine poem by ILIA

Getting my hands dirty in rich soil while planting cucumber seeds the other day, I recalled the a poem I wrote.  It was about a huge cucumber vine that I grew many years ago!

An Ode to a Cucumber Vine

Who knew how large you would grow
From the small sprout that I did sow

Providing shade to your fellow plants with your vine
The cucumbers you produced tasted so divine

Day after day your happiness was a joy to behold
You grew well beyond the time to fold

You touched my life and my heart
And now its time to depart
