“Budding Dreams” Dreamscape by ILIA

The inspiration for “Budding Dreams” Dreamscape by ILIA came from natures signs of Spring – bare trees happily showing the gems (leaves) on their branches and buds promising to grow berries and cherries, while also playing Mozart and Vivaldi.

Have you ever watched the seasons change by looking out your window?  In my younger days, in New England, I had an apartment on the third floor.  The kitchen was very spacious with high ceilings and two large, sunny kitchen windows to look out of.  I could see the trees in a very large area. 

For me it was exciting to see the change of large trees with bare branches covered in snow that changed to bare branches without snow, and to see the new celebration of life: the promising buds that meant warmer weather and outdoor activities would commence soon.

I never could find out when the buds turned to leaves!  It was like magic to me then and now!  Here’s the beautiful buds starting tiny and then suddenly there’s leaves!  Flowers unfold and that’s what I had always expected of from the tree leaf buds but it really doesn’t occur that way!!  The trees get buds that turn to leaves, period.

New leaves on trees are also the signal for birds, bugs, beetles and worms to return.  All of which seem to just appear and do their jobs of keeping the area in balance and propagating the trees and plants.  

Sometimes man has to help Mother Nature along.  For instance, this year I had an over-abundance of moths.  I looked up the natural predators of the moths and found out that birds can help take care of the problem.  I looked outside and found that I didn’t have many birds in the area so put out suet and bird food.  Presto! Two days later the out-of-control moths had disappeared. 

I find it very inspiring to get the balance in!
