One of the Activities…

  One of the activities that I do is create neighborhood events to get the neighbors participating, meeting and talking with one another.  The last event was last Saturday – a celebration for Summer Solstice – the longest day of the year.

Did you have one of those communities?  I grew up in a small New England town.  As a kid, I knew my neighbors.  I could go visit and talk with them.  I could also play in their yard or go into their woods. 

Of course it worked two ways: The neighbors also knew me, my siblings and the other neighborhood kids.  So, if one of us was out of line, our parents knew about it!

Having such a community is so important.  It’s people watching out for people. 

Artist helping to make such a community is important.  Artists are quite special and I’m happy to have so many as friends.
